Comments from Philip Gastineau about his approach to helping others:

My approach to therapy for individuals who see me is being a guide while recognizing the individual as the driver and creator of their success and change. I believe having an unconditional, trusting, supportive, and strength-focused relationship between you and I is the foundation of counseling and fosters the ability to recognize you can and will succeed with your personal goals. I tend to focus on how one’s emotions and thoughts affect how we view and make sense of the world around us. I use the present moment and mindful awareness as tools to help individuals understand their thoughts and feelings as they are without judgment, in order to produce personalized strategies to overcome issues preventing you from living a full life. Overall, I strive to provide a nurturing and comfortable space to help all who visit me, so we can effectively process struggles, find acceptance, and develop an understanding that you are capable of making positive changes in your life
